Safi has endured civil war, extreme hunger, obesity and bariatric surgery.

Safi's experiences as a child with civil war, hunger and being a refugee contributed to her disordered eating habits. She went through bariatric surgery and a prolonged battle to control her weight. She was successful and now helps others.
